My heart has been a little tender lately. Love can do that to you! Someone I love deeply is moving and it has been a struggle. I am thrilled to see God working in lives and I would never want anything different. My selfish heart is aching. This kindred spirit won't be an hours drive away. I am ever so thankful for technology! God has used a book I've been reading to speak to me.
"God often seems more beautiful and sustaining during the trials, perhaps because He has forcefully removed from our line of vision the things that obscure our view of Him. In our lives, Habakuk 3:17-19 became less like a goal and more like reality:
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I WILL REJOICE in the Lord; I will take JOY in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; He makes my feet like the deer's; He makes me tread on my high places."Note that there is NO praise of man in that passage. It's not that when the going got tough, the tough got going. The point is that when the going got tough and the weak were curled up in bed in the fetal position, Christ surrounded them with His hands, his feet, and His body, and held them tightly to his bosom so that they could see only his face." That last sentence is such a comfort to me! I have cried more in the past few weeks than....in a LONG time. I am thankful though that God is the Great Comforter and that He is holding me tight. Shan and I have walked through a lot of painful times in the past two years. I am in awe of God and His Sovereign grace in my life. Through is all...He is still God and on His throne. I am thankful that He never changes even when life does! Let Him hold you. We all have different situations and trials in our lives that accompany times of great joy! To balance those times out more, I have to have faith in God and His Sovereign reign in our lives.

Journaling through the pain can be a wonderful way of talking about what the Lord is doing in it. You then will be working on not going inward, but being outward and sharing what He is teaching you in the process of the pain. Pain is all apart of our lives, we want it to mold us and show the world His glory through it . . . you are doing that!!! Thank you for your vulnerability – it is beautiful 🙂

Jennifer, when a friend moves it can be so painful. It is so good you wrote this to work through those emotions. Hopefully, writing this, it will help you keep grieving and growing. His grace to those He loves when they are hurting is a beautiful thing. Sending you a hug!!
