Reading is one of my favorite past times.  I read for enjoyment sometimes but, I usually read to learn.  I enjoy knitting books, home decorating books and some fiction.  I find my usual issue is that I read too many books at one time.  I've got to work on reading one or two at a time so that I'm not so spread out!

"Don't Make Me Count to Three" by Ginger Plowman is a MUST read for any parent!  It's about dealing with the heart issues and not just disciplining your kids.

"The Heart of Anger" by Lou Priolo is also a great book if you have a child who struggles with anger.

"Girls Gone Wise" by Mary Kassian is wonderful!!!!!  I think every women out there can learn a lot from this book!!

Those are three of my favorites right now. So, I want to know what you are reading?  Has anything you've read lately really impacted your walk with Christ?

I really enjoyed “The New Eve” by Robert Lewis. Very much links us to Eve and how we can learn from her mistakes. Also shows us how to be a woman of God in this seemingly “ungodly” world. The questions with each chapter are very though-provoking. Helped me “see the light” with a lot of struggles I was having at the time.

Marriage to a Difficult Man; bio of Jonathan and Sarah Edwards. Love, love this book. Currently reading Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther. Love his style as he responds to Erasmus. Very “current” in its content, though written a wee bit ago. haha.

My all time favorite right now, that I have read through completely twice, is the “Mark of the Lion” trilogy by Francine Rivers. They are fiction, but they are remarkable and my faith was challenged and built through them. I would recommend reading them in order. The other is “Redeeming Love” also by Francine Rivers. It’s the story of Hosea. Very powerful.

    Hey Jen!
Just wanted to say thanks for the comment over on Marla Taviano’s blog. What a nice surprise at the end of a not so great day at work. Great to hear your family is enjoying the book.
