I really enjoy a good stir fry!  The Trim Healthy Mama Not Naughty Noodles or Rice is out on the market!  I'll be blunt here and say that I've tried konjac noodles in the past and didn't care for them at all.  The fishy taste and texture threw me off and I never made it a part of my THM menu.  Pearl and Serene brought out this new product with promises of NO fishy taste or smell, so I had to buy some.  I am so glad I did!  They literally have no smell at all when you open the bag.  I dumped mine in a strainer and rinsed them in cold water.  When you get them in the mail, they can be stored in the pantry, not the refrigerator.  I liked that as well!  They are even gluten free! stirfryHappy Noodle Stir Fry (S, FP or E) 1/2 head cabbage 1/2 cup green peppers 1 small roma tomato 1/4 cup chopped onion 2 chicken breast, cut up(it was already cooked) 2 Tbs of Bragg's Liquid Aminos 2 Tbs of butter (for a FP meal, make it 2 tsp or spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray) salt to taste 2 tsp Chinese Five Spices (look in the ethnic isle at your grocery) 1 bag of THM Not Naughty Noodles or Rice Heat the skillet to medium and add the butter. Add the chopped veggies to the pan and the chicken. My chicken was already cooked, so I cut it up then and tossed it in. Let it cook until the veggies are softening and add the spices and liquid aminos. Toss in the Not Naughty Noodles or rice near the end to warm them through. You can add broccoli or other veggies you and your family enjoy as well.  Make it your own. For a FP: keep the butter at about 2 tsp since this is a few servings, it's fine.  Make sure you stick to the chicken breast or lean meat. For an E:  Add some E fuel, like a side of brown rice (up to 3/4 cup) For an S: You could pick another meat, besides the lean chicken if you choose too.  You can use more butter without an issue.  This is even a great Deep S meal.  If you are doing a Fuel Cycle, skip the tomato.  It just gave it a pretty punch of color!

Happy Noodle Stir Fry is a supper easy and family pleasing recipe!
Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup green peppers
  • 1 small roma tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 chicken breast, cut up(it was already cooked)
  • 2 Tbs of Bragg's Liquid Aminos
  • 2 Tbs of butter (for a FP meal, make it 2 tsp or spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray)
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Chinese Five Spices (look in the ethnic isle at your grocery)
  • 1 bag of THM Not Naughty Noodles or Rice
Instructions
  1. Heat the skillet to medium and add the butter.
  2. Add the chopped veggies to the pan and the chicken.
  3. My chicken was already cooked ,so I cut it up then and tossed it in.
  4. Let it cook until the veggies are softening and add the spices and liquid aminos.
  5. Toss in the Not Naughty Noodles or rice near the end to warm them through.
The amount served is dependent on you and your families appetite and if you have any side dishes or dessert!  If you are making this an E as I suggested above, you can easily serve 4 people.  I would say this serves 2 huge portions otherwise and 4 if you eat with children or have a other items to eat as well or a yummy dessert! Am I reading this right that we don’t have to measure out our noodle portion? These are able to fit in any meal (s,e,fp)????

    Hello Jennifer…
I just started on THM last month… A post-menopausal turtle, I guess. lol
I love your recipes – – very similar to our “tastes” in our home. Have you come across a good recipe using Chana Dahl without curry flavors? I love split pea soup, so I thought I’d like these, too… Needless to say, I had to throw a whole pot out. Any ideas other than the usual chicken broth, chicken, onions, salt, pepper. lol
    Thanks,
    Andrea

The recipe in the book would be similar to what you’re talking about. More of a mild flavor. I’ve not gotten too into trying new things with it, though I need too!!

How do you store them after they are open? How long will they keep?

    • godzgaljen@gmail.com

If you open them, I’d them put them in a jar or tupperware and in the refrigerator. 🙂 I’m sure they’ll last over a week but I’m not sure on an exact date…

Hi there! We are new to THM and haven’t quite got all the extra ingredients so I don’t have the not naughty noodles or rice is there something I can substitute until we get them.

    Thanks,

I guess you could just use Dreamfield’s pasta if that works okay for your tummy.
